It's not uncommon to hear the terms FPM, FKM, and Viton® used interchangeably.

The terms FPM, FKM, and Viton® often cause confusion and lead to misinterpretations. All of these names actually stand for a single substrate: fluorine rubber.

FPM is an international abbreviation based on DIN/ISO (DIN EN ISO 20752);

FKM is short for fluorine rubber category according to the American Standard ASTM (ASTM D 1418).

Viton® is a registered trademark of DuPont High Performance elastomers.

For technical and regulatory reasons, different countries use different abbreviations (for example, FPM is used in Europe because it is an internationally accepted abbreviation).

FKM Rubber sheet are the well-known high- performance rubber that has excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance and atmospheric aging resistance.
