Company News
Silicone rubber sheeting is widely recognized for its excellent performance across a broad temperature range, making it a versatile material for industrial sealing, insulation, protection and other demanding applications. Our standard silicone rubber sheeting is designed for a temperature range of approximately -50°C to +220°C , allowing it to maintain its flexibility and functional performance in both low- and high-temperature environments.

At a temperature of up to 220°C, the silicone rubber sheet still maintains excellent flexibility, elasticity and sealing performance. This makes it suitable for applications in high-temperature environments, such as heat-resistant gaskets, seals, insulating materials, protective mats, and industrial equipment, etc. Compared with many common rubber materials, silicone rubber has excellent heat aging resistance and can maintain its properties over a wider temperature range.

Silicone rubber also performs well in low-temperature environments. At temperatures down to approximately -50°C, suitable silicone rubber sheeting can remain flexible and functional instead of becoming excessively hard or brittle. This makes it useful for applications exposed to cold environments, refrigeration equipment, outdoor equipment and other situations where temperature fluctuations are common.
One of the key advantages of silicone rubber is its ability to balance high-temperature resistance, low-temperature flexibility, elasticity and aging resistance in a single material. While different rubber compounds have their own advantages and suitable operating ranges, silicone rubber is often selected when both temperature extremes and long-term flexibility are important considerations.

Does Silicone Rubber Sheet Thickness Affect Temperature Performance?
Thickness is another important factor when selecting silicone rubber sheeting. However, a thicker sheet does not automatically mean a higher maximum service temperature. The temperature resistance of silicone rubber depends primarily on the silicone compound and formulation, while thickness affects mechanical strength, durability, heat transfer and the suitability of the sheet for a particular application.
Our silicone rubber sheeting is available in thicknesses from 0.5 MM to 20 MM, with widths up to 1.8 meters. Standard rolls are normally supplied at approximately 10 meters per roll, while customized dimensions can be discussed according to the application and order requirements.
Thin silicone sheets can be suitable for insulation, lining and precision applications where flexibility and easy processing are important. Thicker silicone rubber sheets can provide greater physical support, cushioning and durability in demanding industrial applications.

Silicone Rubber Sheeting for Different Industrial Requirements
In addition to temperature resistance, silicone rubber sheeting offers a combination of properties that make it suitable for many industrial applications, including:
- Excellent high- and low-temperature resistance
- Good elasticity and resilience
- Excellent aging resistance
- High tear resistance
- Good electrical insulation properties
- Good flame-retardant performance
- Smooth surface
- Low odor
- Non-toxic and environmentally friendly characteristics
- Easy cutting and installation
- Stable physical performance

Our standard silicone rubber sheeting has a typical density of 1.25–1.50 g/cm³, hardness of 40–80 Shore A, elongation of 300%–750% and tear strength of 18–35 kN/m.
These specifications can be selected according to the intended application rather than simply choosing a silicone sheet based on temperature resistance alone.
Silicone Rubber Sheet Colors and Custom Options
Silicone rubber sheeting is not limited to one standard color.
Common options include natural translucent silicone, high-transparent silicone and iron red silicone. For customers who require a specific appearance, customized colors can also be produced according to a color sample, color card or customer-provided specification.
We have a color card with multiple color options available for selection. This allows distributors, manufacturers and industrial users to match the silicone rubber sheet with their product or application requirements.
High-transparency silicone rubber sheeting is particularly suitable when material visibility or appearance is important, while natural translucent silicone remains a popular choice for general industrial applications.
Silicone Rubber Sheet for High-Temperature Applications
When selecting silicone rubber sheeting for a high-temperature application, it is important to consider more than the maximum temperature alone.
The actual working environment may involve:
- Continuous or intermittent heating
- Pressure or mechanical stress
- Contact with oils or chemicals
- Outdoor exposure
- Repeated heating and cooling cycles
- Required hardness and elasticity
- Required thickness and dimensions
For this reason, the actual operating temperature, application, thickness, hardness and quantity should be confirmed before production.
If you are unsure which silicone rubber sheet specification is suitable, you can send us your working conditions, drawing or sample. We can review the requirements and recommend a suitable specification.

With a temperature range of approximately -50°C to +220°C, multiple hardness options, thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 20 mm, widths up to 1.8 m, and customized colors available, silicone rubber sheets can be supplied for a wide variety of industrial requirements.
